Motor Vehicles Division~ License Plates Information

Secure and Verifiable Identification is required for all transactions. The identification must be provided by the owner of record or with a power of attorney presented by the agent. The agent must have a secure and verifiable identification to complete the transaction.

Handicapped Placard or Plate(s)

Handicapped placards and license plates are issued in any of the three offices of the Boulder County Clerk & Recorder.
A licensed medical physician must complete a form authorizing the use of placard or plate.
Placards are free of charge.
The regular license fees and ownership taxes will be charged for the license plates.
There is no additional charge for handicapped placards.
